The Aiken Wood Carvers held its annual picnic at Gem Lake Palvilion on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009. It was well attended and all had fun. Hopefully more of you can make it next year.
	Sadly Joe Rittenhouse and Jo Ann will be leaving us soon for Florida. They will be greatly missed, but we will keep in touch.
The ham burglar took to the griddle and stoked ths ol coals. Smelled real good... tasted perty fine too. Not sure what John is looking for under this one.
	Smokey!! But boy can I cook um' up! I wanted to be a Waffle House short order cook, but my wife wouldn't let me and made me become an aircraft engine designer for a MAJOR manufacturer....

	Duke and Beth Tegan are getting down to the nitty- g-r-i-t-t-y.

	Oh Yea!!!... where is the forks? and the Spoons.... and the napkins... oh... and where did we put the food?
Did I hear someone say they needed a cork? Let me check; I'm sure to have one close by..
	Now Freeman... you may not believe this, but this particular piece of wood came from a tree which was felled by a small pigmy in the wilds of Beech Island using only a penknife handed down many generations.... Freeman was here for just a few weeks and his job has taken him to St. Louis.
